Søren Petersen (cyclist)

Søren Petersen (born October 7, 1967 in Skive ) is a Danish road cyclist.

Søren Petersen won the first stage of the Volta da Ascension in 1991 and was able to win the overall standings. The next year he was successful at the Trofeo Guerrita. In the 1994 season he won the first stage of the Tour de Namur. In the 2000 season, Petersen drove for Team Cologne , where he won the one-day race around Cologne-Bonn Airport. He then moved to the US Saturn Cycling Team . Here he won a stage each in 2001 at the Tour of Willamette and at the Grand Prix Rio Grande and in 2002 he was successful on the 16th section of the International Cycling Classic. In 2003 Petersen won the Tampere Grand Prix with his Danish team Glud & Marstrand Horsens and the following year he was successful in the criterion Post Danmark Gadeløbet in Herning . In 2007 he won the sixth stage of the Tour de Beauce .
