Sünzhausen (Schweitenkirchen)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sünzhausen is a district of Schweitenkirchen . The village in the Hallertau hop-growing region with around 350 inhabitants forms a community with the neighboring villages of Jetzelmaierhöfe , Holzhausen and Holzhäuseln .

history

Research into the earliest history of Sünzhausen is very difficult because there is a parish village of the same name near Freising , which also appears for the first time in Freising documents around 800 AD.

The place name is derived from the personal name "Sindeo" (place founder). The names "Sinishusen", "Sindehusen" and later "Sintzhausen" change. From 1100 the "Lords of Sünzhausen" appear.

Last in the long line of Hofmark owners were the gentlemen von Koch zu Rohrbach . In 1722 the church and tavern were destroyed by flames, in 1820 the branch was built, and around this time the one-class school as well.

Since May 1st, 1978 Sünzhausen belongs to the municipality of Schweitenkirchen.
