Sırrı Ayhan
Sırrı Ayhan (* 1961 in Adıyaman / Turkey ) is a Kurdish author and taxi driver with German citizenship .
Life
The member of various literary groups and workshops such as B. PEN-Club or literary café Fakir Baykurt began to write in 1998 - primarily prose. Ayhan's Taxi International (2004) is a kind of quintessence of his full-time work as a taxi driver in Düsseldorf . The literary collage of guest book entries, photos, thoughts and 9 short stories written by the author “The world is small - man is as wide as the sea; forty nations in one taxi ", but it is also to be understood as a contribution to international understanding.
Even before Taxi International was published , Ayhan - a member of TÜDAY e. V. (Human Rights Association Turkey / Germany) and supporting member of Amnesty International - aroused the interest of the German public through photo-text exhibitions. He also had publications in Turkish.
