The locomotives of the SŽD series ТЭП10 (German transcription TEP 10) of the Soviet Railways (SŽD) were wide-gauge diesel locomotives with diesel-electric power transmission, primarily for passenger train service. As a single-section locomotive, they belonged to the ТЭ10 family and were derived from it. They were nicknamed Strela .

The locomotives were developed as a further development of the SŽD series ТЭ10 of the Kharkov locomotive factory . From 1960 to 1968, 335 of these passenger locomotives were built. Originally they were to be given the designation ТЭ11 , due to the high degree of correspondence with many elements of the ТЭ10 , they received the addition P as a passenger variant of this locomotive.
Compared to the original variant , it received modified traction drive motors, which, among other things, reduced the mass by three tons. These were modified again during their production.
Originally, the locomotives were used on the October Railway until they were replaced by the more powerful ТЭП60 . They were also used on the railways in Nizhny Novgorod , on the Privolschskaya zhelesnaja doroga , the Piwdenna Salisnyzja and in front Asia . The locomotives were withdrawn from service in the 1980s and early 1990s at the latest. Have been preserved
