The SC Alemannia Breslau was a German football club from the central Silesian city of Breslau .

history

The club was founded in 1909 and belonged to the Southeast German Football Association . In 1919/20 the club played for the first time in the district class Middle Silesia, one of five top-class leagues of the SOFV. The league could be held for five years before the club had to relegate as group bottom in the 1923/24 season . In 1926/27 the rise was successful. In 1929 the club was relegated to the second division again, and in the last season of the SOFV 1932/33 , the promotion was again successful.

In the course of the Gleichschaltung, the Southeast German Football Association was dissolved a few months after the National Socialists came to power in 1933. In its place came the Gauliga Silesia . Due to the last place in the preseason Alemannia Breslau missed participation in this and was classified in the second-rate district league of Central Silesia . With the reorganization of the Sportgaue in 1941, the Gauliga Schlesien was also divided into the Gauliga Lower Silesia and the Gauliga Upper Silesia . The resulting more available starting places were played for the Gauliga Lower Silesia between four participating teams in a promotion round , in which Alemannia Breslau was able to prevail and thus played in the first division again from 1941 . In the last season the club made with Germania Wroclaw a war game community . Due to the war, however, only one game could be played.

Due to the consequences of the war and the resulting award of Wroclaw to Poland, the association expired in 1945.
