The SC Eitelborn 1919 eV is a German football club based in the Rhineland-Palatinate municipality of Eitelborn within the association municipality of Montabaur in the Westerwaldkreis .
history
Time in the amateur league Rhineland
The first team rose to the 1956/57 season in the third-class amateur league Rhineland, which was two-pronged this season. Eitelborn was classified in the East relay and managed at the end of the season with 17:27 points over the tenth place in the table just about relegation. In the following season you had to relegate to 9th place. However, the direct resurgence succeeded in the 1959/60 season . This time, with 24:28 points, they even placed eighth place in the table at the end of the season in the midfield. In the next season even the fourth place was achieved. After that, however, the ranking went down further and further. After the 1962/63 season , the league became single-track again and most clubs had to relegate to the 2nd amateur league. These clubs also included the Eitelborn team which, with 17:31 points, was only 12th at the end of the season.
Current time
In the 2002/03 season, the club played within a syndicate in the Rhineland district league, but then had to relegate to Koblenz district league A with 28 points at the end of the season with 28 points over 13th place due to a structural reform. After the 2008/09 season, the SG had to relegate to the district B league. The rise from this then succeeded at the end of the 2010/11 season as champions with 68 points. It went down again after the 2016/17 season, which could only be completed in 13th place with 27 points. Again it should take two seasons to get promoted again, this time third place with only 48 points was enough. Since then the SG has played in the district league A.
