The Football Amateur League Rhineland 1959/60 was the eighth season of the 1st Amateur League , the predecessor of the Association League Rhineland , also known as the Rhineland League . This league represented the substructure of the II. Southwest Division until 1963 and was thus third-class in the overall league hierarchy. It was the fourth season in which the league played with two seasons East and West. The Rhineland champion was determined between the two relay winners.

Closing tables

The winner of the West Season, Germania Metternich , became the Rhineland Champion after a 5-3 win over East-Meister Sportfreunde Herdorf. The subsequent round of promotion to the II. Southwest Division ended Metternich this time successfully with the second place, which was enough for promotion.

TuS Montabaur , SC Wirges , SC Moselweiß and FC Bitburg had to go down to the 2nd amateur league .
