The  Rhineland Amateur Football League 1976/77  was the 25th season of the 1st Amateur League , the predecessor of  the Rhineland Association League, also known as the Rhineland League. This league represented the substructure of the 2nd Bundesliga until 1978 and was therefore third-class in the overall league hierarchy.

Rhineland champion was TuS Neuendorf , who failed the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga South with third place in the southwest group. The FC Bitburg participated as Rhineland-representatives at the German Football Amateur Championship in 1977 in part and failed in the quarterfinals of the amateurs of Fortuna Dusseldorf (Niederrhein).

The descent into the 2nd amateur league had to go to Spvgg Andernach , VfL Trier and BSV Weißenthurm . For the following season 1977/78 came as climbers from the 2nd amateur league of the FSV Salmrohr , the SC Rhein-Ahr Sinzig and the TuS Hahnstätten .
