The  football amateur league Rhineland 1967/68  was the 16th season of the 1st amateur league , the predecessor of the  Verbandsliga Rheinland , also called the Rhineland League. This league represented the substructure of the Regionalliga Südwest until 1974 and was thus third-class in the overall league hierarchy.

Rhineland champion was Spvgg Andernach , who won the playoff for the championship against SC Rhein-Ahr Sinzig with the same number of points 2-0. Sinzig took part as Rhineland representative in the German amateur soccer championship in 1968 and failed there in the round of 16 against Württemberg representative SSV Reutlingen 05 .

FC Bitburg , FV Engers 07 , VfL Trier and Altenkirchener SG had to go down to the 2nd amateur league . For the following season 1968/69 came as a climber from the 2nd amateur league of VfB Lützel , VfB Knowledge and SV Ruwer and from the II. Division as a relegated SSV Mülheim .
