The FC Sparta Bremerhaven (officially: Football Club Sparta Bremerhaven from 1901 eV ) is a football club from Bremerhaven . The first soccer team will play in the Bremerhaven district league A in 2017/2018.
history
SC Sparta
The club was founded on March 8, 1901 as FC Sparta Bremerhaven . The club colors were blue and white. The first team could be provided just one month after the founding meeting. Two months after the founding meeting, the association already had 42 members. The first friendly match was won 4-1 against FC Glückauf in Wulsdorf . In the 1911/12 season, the first team became district champions. When the war broke out, the club was stopped. After the First World War , SC Sparta was renamed Sportclub Sparta Bremerhaven-Lehe after the transfer of the Sport Lehe club . In 1926 the club received a swimming department. In 1934 the merger of the Bremerhaven clubs ATSB, Bremerhaven 93 and SC Sparta failed to form a large club. On September 20, 1944, the SC Sparta was dissolved. On January 15, 1949, SC Sparta was re-established and in 1949 it was trained again with 20 teams. In 1972 SC Sparta survived being accepted into a major club again.
FC Sparta
On July 1, 2012, FC Bremerhaven joined SC Sparta, which was then renamed FC Sparta Bremerhaven. An originally planned merger did not materialize; because by joining FC Bremerhaven, the first team played in the Bremen League . On July 15, 2015, the club announced that it would forego the Bremen League in the 2015/16 season. In the 2015/16 season they finished last in the Bremen regional league and were relegated to the Bremen regional league; there you also came last. For the 2017/18 season, FC Sparta was passed on to the Bremerhaven district league A.
