André Hahn (born August 13, 1990 in Otterndorf ) is a German football player . He has been under contract with FC Augsburg since the 2018/19 season .

Life

Hahn was born the son of an insurance salesman and his wife. He comes from a sporting family: his grandfather Franz-Hermann Hahn was the national trainer of the German Equestrian Association until the beginning of 1988 , his grandmother Ute Hahn was a rider . His father once played handball at TSV Otterndorf . Hahn grew up in the Blink family farm with his brother, who was about three years younger than him, and is a trained vehicle painter .

Club career

Hahn began his career in the G-Jugend of TSV Otterndorf . In 2003 he moved to LTS Bremerhaven in the C-Junior Regional League North. In the 2004/05 season, the team was relegated at the end of the season. In the following season he joined the SV Rot-Weiss Cuxhaven , which played in the B-Juniors District Oberliga Lüneburg. In spring 2008 Hahn moved to FC Bremerhaven as A-Junior ; with them he won the summer round of the Bremen Association League with 37 out of 39 possible points and rose to the Regionalliga Nord / Nordost.

Then Hahn joined the Hamburger SV , where he was included in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga North / Northeast in the 2008/09 season . He was used for the team seven times in total.

Early career moves

In addition to the A-Juniors, Hahn also played in the regional league for the second team of Hamburger SV. For the first time he was in the squad and in the starting line-up on August 31, 2008 (3rd matchday) in a 2-1 win against VfB Lübeck . He scored his first goal on October 15, 2008 (7th matchday) against Altona 93 in stoppage time to make it 2-2, after being substituted on in the 78th minute.

For the 2010/11 season he moved to the league competitor FC Oberneuland and during the winter break to the third division club TuS Koblenz . On matchday 21, Hahn played his first third division game for TuS Koblenz against Rot Weiss Ahlen . After the withdrawal of Koblenz from the 3rd division, he signed for the 2011/12 season with Kickers Offenbach .

Bundesliga

During the winter break of the 2012/13 season, Hahn moved to Bundesliga club FC Augsburg , with whom he signed a contract that ran until 2016. On January 20, 2013 (18th matchday), he made his debut in the Bundesliga, when his club won 3-2 against Fortuna Düsseldorf . Hahn scored his first Bundesliga goal on September 27, 2013 (7th matchday) against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the 27th minute of the game. The game ended 2-2.

For the 2014/15 season Hahn moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach . In March 2014 he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2018. On October 25, 2015, he suffered a broken tibia and a tear in the outer meniscus in the Bundesliga match against Schalke 04 after a foul by Johannes Geis .

Hahn returned to Hamburger SV before the 2017/18 season. At the end of June 2017, he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2021. He played his first Bundesliga game for Hamburg in a 1-0 home win (1st matchday) against FC Augsburg . On August 25, 2017, the 2nd matchday, he scored his first Bundesliga goal for HSV in a 3-1 win against 1. FC Köln . With 13.16 kilometers he was the strongest player. Hahn was under the coaches Markus Gisdol , Bernd Hollerbach and Christian Titz in 23 Bundesliga games and scored three goals. Under the new coach Christian Titz, he only came on a short assignment. At the end of the season, HSV had to go to the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time , Hahn left the club.

After HSV's relegation, Hahn returned to FC Augsburg for the 2018/19 season, with whom he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2022.

National team

On February 28, 2014 Hahn was called up for the first time in the squad of the German national team for the friendly match against Chile in the Mercedes-Benz-Arena in Stuttgart , but not used on March 5. On May 8, 2014 he was nominated for the provisional squad for the 2014 World Cup , as well as for the international benefit match against Poland in the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg on May 13, 2014. Hahn was substituted on for Poland in the second half and played his first international match. This made him the first German national player for FC Augsburg since Helmut Haller in 1962. One day after this international match, he was removed from the World Cup squad in favor of Christoph Kramer .
