Kilian Jakob (born January 25, 1998 in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler ) is a German football player .

Career

Jakob started playing in the youth department of TSV 1860 Munich in 2010 , having previously played for FC Dreistern Neutrudering. For the 2016/17 season he was part of the second team in the Regionalliga Bayern . He made his first appearance for the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga on October 28, 2016 in a 6-2 win against FC Erzgebirge Aue .

After the relegation of the Munich Lions from the 2nd Bundesliga, Jakob was part of the new squad of the first team that played in the Regionalliga Bayern in the 2017/18 season. After playing seven games (two goals) for the first team in the Regionalliga, he moved to the Bundesliga for FC Augsburg on August 30, 2017 , where he received a professional contract until June 30, 2022. Jakob was initially used in the second team in the regional league. On March 3, 2018 (25th matchday), he made his debut in the Bundesliga in the 0-2 home defeat against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . In the regional league game for the second team of FC Augsburg on March 31, 2018 against Wacker Burghausen , he broke his kneecap, which meant the premature end of the season for him.
