The SC Vorwärts Gleiwitz was a German football club from the Upper Silesian city of Gliwice (now Gliwice, Poland).

history

The SC Vorwärts Gleiwitz was until 1923 the football department (game and sports department) of the TV Vorwärts Gleiwitz (founded in 1878). The SC Vorwärts Gleiwitz was officially founded in 1910, but was only entered in the register of associations as an independent club in 1923 in the course of the clean separation between gymnastics and football clubs . His club colors are black and white.

The club, founded in 1923, reached the final round of the Southeast German championship as Upper Silesian champions in football in the 1923/24 season and took fourth place in a group of five behind the champions United Breslauer Sportfreunde , FC Viktoria 1901 Forst and SC Jauer .

In 1926 Vorwärts merged with RV 1909 Gleiwitz to form Vorwärts-Lawn Sport Gleiwitz .
