The Seat Cordoba WRC was used in the World Rally Championship from 1998 to 2000 . It was powered by a 2-liter turbo engine and was allowed to be used in the World Rally Championship after it had achieved the required number of homologations . The Homologationsmodelle were Seat Cordoba 16 V called.

The rally car was driven by Didier Auriol , Toni Gardemeister and Harri Rovanperä . It was used for the first time in the 1998 Rally Finland and took podium places in the New Zealand Rally 1999, the 1999 Rally Great Britain and the Safari 2000 Rally . For the 2000 season the car was revised again and discontinued after this season.
