The nature and landscape protection area Korbmatten Baden-Baden is located in the area of the city of Baden-Baden in Baden-Württemberg .

Characteristics

The protected areas were created on December 20, 1979 by ordinance of the Karlsruhe Regional Council with the protected area numbers 2040 (NSG) and 2.11.005 (LSG). This regulation was published in the law gazette for Baden-Württemberg on January 31, 1980 and came into force thereafter. The NSG's CDDA code is 164210 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

location

The nature and landscape protection area is located around one kilometer northwest of the Baden-Baden district of Mührich . It belongs entirely to FFH area no. 7214-342 Bruch near Bühl and Baden-Baden . Immediately contiguous and adjacent to the north is the nature and landscape protection area Korbmatten-Im Mäthi in the Rastatt district in the Sinzheim district . The protected areas are located in the natural area 210- Offenburg Rhine plain within the natural spatial main unit 21- Middle Upper Rhine Lowland .

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the protection purpose for the nature reserve is the preservation of the cultural landscape characterized by grassland use as a breeding, feeding and resting biotope for the increasingly threatened animal world indigenous to the meadow landscapes of the Upper Rhine region and the preservation of the species-rich meadow vegetation in its diversity, which is determined by different levels of moisture.

The protection purpose for the landscape protection area is to secure the ecologically necessary supplementary space of the nature protection area for the endangered animal world and to maintain the agriculturally used open spaces at the foot of the foothills, which are diversely structured by loose groups of trees and shrubs.
