SG unit Zepernick

The SG Einheit Zepernick eV is a sports club in Zepernick , a district of the municipality of Panketal in Brandenburg .

history

Around 1925 the name of the club was still Verein für Leibesübungen Sportfreunde Zepernick . The club leader was Erwin Pohl. Between 1930 and 1939 the association had 300 members. In 1954 a new establishment took place under the name Sportgemeinschaft Zepernick (SG) . In 1958 this sports club was renamed the "Einheit Zepernick" sports community . 1983 to 1989 the club was a member of the GDR League / Oberliga and won seven championship titles in archery. In 1988 the association had 400 members. In 1994 the lease agreement for the sports facility on Straße der Jugend was signed. From 2005 to 2008 the club was also the operator of the high rope climbing garden in Hobrechtsfelde .

In 2008 it had 527 members and comprised the departments of soccer , handball , volleyball , shooting , gymnastics , women's gymnastics , and Shotokan karate. Jörg Klix has been the chairman since January 2009.

Soccer

With 240 members, the soccer department is the club's largest department. The department participates with sixteen teams in the 2016/17 match in the Barnim football district and with two teams in the Brandenburg State Football Association . In 2015, the first men's soccer team was promoted to the regional league.

Archery

The sport shooting department has achieved national and national successes. Most of the DBSV medals at German championships between 1991 and 2008 were achieved by Frank Möller (37 gold, 16 silver and 10 bronze). At the 2008 European Championships of the BHC in Estonia , Frank Möller took 5th place in the men's recurve bow class .

At the European championship in crossbow shooting at 3D targets of the World Crossbowmen Association in Schlagl , Austria , the team of SG Einheit Zepernick with the shooters Hendrik Gorek, Harald Nischan and Andreas Wernicke came third and won the bronze medal.
