The SG Menden Sauerland Wölfe is a handball community of the three clubs DJK Saxonia Lendringsen, SV Menden Handball and TV Schwitten, which are all located in Menden .

Since the 2017/2018 season, the first men's team has been playing in the 3rd division, Season West . The licensee is Handballservicegesellschaft mbH.

The first women's team also played in the 3rd division, Season West .

history

In the spring of 2000, the handball departments of SV Menden and DJK Saxonia Lendringsen merged to form the HSG Menden-Lendringsen. With this handball community, they made it into the third division, Season West , in the 2016/2017 season . l The first women's team also made it to the third division this season. However, they withdrew from the 3rd division for the 2018/2019 season.

TV Schwitten was added to the 2017/2018 season, and the syndicate has been called SG Menden Sauerland Wölfe ever since. There has been cooperation between the three clubs at youth level since the 2013/2014 season.

The syndicate has organized the Sauerland Cup, which has been held annually since 1991 .
