The SG Schurwald is a German men's beach handball team from Rechberghausen in the Göppingen district . The SG consists mainly of indoor handball players from the Göppingen area .
history
SG Schurwald was founded in 2010. Sven Fischer has been the coach since then.
In 2011 the SG won the South German Championship for the first time. In 2012 and 2013, winning the South German Championship was repeated.
At the German Open 2014 in Wildeshausen , the SG took 4th place.
At the Beachhandball Masters 2015 in Berlin , the SG came third. At the German Championships 2015 in Kassel , the SG was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
At the German Championships 2016 in Berlin, the SG was eliminated in the preliminary round.
In 2017 the SG became German champions in Berlin and qualified for the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup . At the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup 2017 on Gran Canaria the SG finished twelfth.
