The SK Germania Herringen is an association focusing roller hockey , which the district Herringen of Hamm in Westphalia is located. In 1967 he was a founding member of the German roller hockey Bundesliga . In 2013, 2014, 2018 and 2019 the club became German champions in roller hockey and qualified for the CERH European League . SK Germania Herringen plays its home games in the Glückauf Hall in Herringen.

history

It was founded in 1914 as a sports club for cycling and hiking. In 1947 the association was re-established. In 1959 the roller hockey team rose to the league and in 1969 to the roller hockey Bundesliga. In 2013, SK Germania Herringen won two of three games against ERG Iserlohn in the playoff of the German roller hockey championship and became German roller hockey champion. In 2014 SK Germania Herringen was able to defend its title against RSC Cronenberg from Wuppertal.

In 2016, the team became German runners-up in roller hockey after losing both play-off finals against ERG Iserlohn 2-1. She also lost the cup final against IGR Remscheid .

In 2017, the team failed in the semi-finals of the playoffs of the German Roller Hockey Championship at IGR Remscheid.

In 2018 SK Germania Herringen was again in the final of the German championship against TuS Düsseldorf-Nord and was German roller hockey champion for the third time. SK Germania Herringen also won the cup and won the double.

In 2019, the German championship title in roller hockey was defended against the IGR Remscheid .

In 2013, 2014, 2018 and 2019, SK Germania Herringen took part in the CERH European League .
