Jeff Teale
Jeff Teale (actually Jeffrey Teale; born December 20, 1939 in Newthorpe , North Yorkshire , † January 16, 1997 ) was a British shot putter .
In 1968 he was tenth at the Olympic Games in Mexico City , and in 1969 he was eliminated from the qualification at the European Athletics Championships in Athens .
At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 he won silver starting for England .
In 1968 and 1969 he was English champion, in 1968 and 1970 English indoor champion.
In 1974 he was banned for life for doping after admitting in a newspaper interview that he was taking anabolic steroids .
