founding

The soccer section of the Jenbach sports association, SVg Jenbach for short , was founded in 1933 by young Jenbachers. At the existing sports field on Gießen , gates were set up, changing rooms and a tool shed were built. The jerseys in the club colors yellow and blue were donated by Jenbacher businessman Ditmand. This year only friendly games were played, later the Jenbacher played in the Tyrolean regional league . In 1953 the sports club acquired a team bus from the Jenbach volunteer fire department.

Men's soccer

After being relegated from the Tyrolean League in 1955 , the next two seasons were spent in the Regional League East. During this time, numerous top performers left the club. It was not until the 1968/69 season that he was promoted to the Tyrolean regional league under coach Walter Skocik .

In 1977 they were able to surpass that and were promoted to the Alpine League , in which they could only stay for three years. From then on, the Tyrolean League continued, which in the league structure now followed directly after the Alpine League. There you placed mostly in the middle of the table, but had to accept in 1987 relegation to the Landesliga Ost.

In 1990 the soccer section was spun off from the SVG Jenbach under chairman Gernot Moser and has since appeared under the name SK Jenbach. They continued to play in the Landesliga Ost, before they were promoted to the Tirolliga in 1995 and surprisingly came fourth in their debut season.

The high of the SK Jenbach remained, in 1998/99 they became Tyrolean champions (champions of the Tyrolean league) and as such rose to the national regional league (formerly Alpine league). At that time a syndicate was founded with FC Achensee from Maurach. In the debut season of this game association you could reach a midfield place in the regional league, but rose again the following year as the last. In 2003 the syndicate with FC Achensee dissolved and the Jenbacher relegated to the Landesliga Ost. In 2006/07 they were promoted to the Tirolliga as champions and actually managed to stay there for four years.

This was followed by very eventful and changeable years in sporting terms: Under chairman Goran Zivic, the environment was put on a completely new footing, with a completely renewed team in 2012, the establishment in the regional league , which they wanted to attack in the following year, was only just about to rise to the Tirolliga failed. As runner-up in the Landesliga Ost, they met Zirl in the promotion relegation and, after two dramatic games, ended up just losing out. Nevertheless, the 80th anniversary of the club was celebrated with a legend match and a guest appearance by FC Wacker Innsbruck in Jenbach.

And the rise should also be achieved in the following year as a superior master under the coaching team Johannes Rieser and Rudolf Stadler. In the 2013/14 season they caused a sensation in the TFV-Kerschdorfer-Tirol-Cup and threw regional league team Kufstein out of the competition, before they later failed in the quarter-finals against today's Bundesliga club and then later cup winner WSG Wattens .

After the promotion to the Tirolliga , they started furiously and even became autumn champions after the first half of the season, before the sporting slump followed in the second half of the season and a year later they were relegated to the national league. Also in this one was only moderately successful and at the end of the 2017/2018 season was the last to be relegated to the regional league east. Under coach Mario Oderich, the Jenbacher fighting team stabilized again after a weak first half season in the regional league and soon celebrated sporting successes again. At the end of the first half of the 2019/2020 season, the table was top of the list. However, the season was canceled and canceled due to the Covid-19 epidemic .
