Roland Hattenberger (born December 7, 1948 in Jenbach ) is a former Austrian football player .

Act

Hattenberger began his career as a player at SK Jenbach , where he played from 1956 to 1963. He then went to SC Kufstein and moved to WSG Wattens in 1968 , before joining the Bundesliga in 1971 for SSW Innsbruck . In 1974 he moved to Germany for SC Fortuna Köln , where he stayed until the end of 1977. He played for VfB Stuttgart until 1981 , then came back to Austria and worked for SSW Innsbruck and then SC Kufstein until 1984. In 1987 he ended his active career. Hattenberger also played for the Austrian national team and was in the squad at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina . Due to injury, however, he could not play a game at this World Cup. Four years later, Hattenberger was again in the squad at the 1982 World Cup in Spain and was also used in four of the five games.

Berger had been in the years 1972 and 1973 Austrian champion with the SSW Innsbruck, in 1973 he also became Austrian cup winner. With VfB Stuttgart he became German runner- up in 1979 .

His son Matthias Hattenberger was just like him a professional footballer in the Austrian first division.
