SMIL timesheets

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SMIL Timesheets is a style sheet language that is used as an external style sheet to control the timing of the Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language and thus to delimit the timing and presentation settings from the content of the presentation, which is written in another markup language (a SMIL timesheet can can be used to schedule a SMIL-enabled slideshow).

SMIL Timesheets 1.0 was issued by the W3C on January 10, 2008 as a working draft. However, due to the lack of response from SMIL, other alternatives have been implemented, including the use of CSS animations to schedule and animate HTML pages into interactive slideshows.
