Compound Document Formats

Compound Document Formats ( CDF ) was a group of budding W3C standards and a working group of the same name. The development was stopped on August 19, 2010.

Compound Document or Compound Document designates a composite of several objects document. The working group should work out the combination and integration of W3C standards with one another. The standards XHTML , XML Events , CSS , SVG , SMIL and XForms were considered . The standards should be shared either by reference or by inclusion.

Core CDF standards are the Web Integration Compound Document (WICD) standard and the Compound Document by Reference Framework (CDR).
