Armament

The S-90 class was a class of 48 large torpedo boats for the Imperial Navy . 36 units were built by the Schichau works in Elbing , 12 units by the Germania shipyard in Kiel . The letter code in front of the ship number identifies the shipyard of the respective ship. S stands for ships from the Schichau works, G for ships from the Germania shipyard. In some sources, the class is also named Large Torpedo Boat 1898 .
