In the film, Oliver Schwabe tells about the life of the musician Tobias Gruben, who died in 1996 . With cover versions by Messer , Isolation Berlin , Timm Völker (206), Paul Pötsch ( Trümmer ), Tellavision and Tom Schilling , the film shows why Tobias Gruben is considered an undiscovered musical talent. In interviews, unpublished letters and texts, Schwabe portrays Tobias Gruben's personal side. Especially the conflict with the father is worked out. Shortly before his breakthrough, Tobias Gruben died of a heroin overdose.
