The teams in ranks 1–4 contest a final round. This is carried out in a quadruple round. Points and goals from the main round are carried over to the final round. The teams in ranks 1 and 2 of the final round play a "Best of Three". The winner is the Swiss champion.

Mode of the promotion / relegation round: 6 teams The teams of the SPL1 main round ranks 5-8 and the teams SPL2 ranks 1 and 2 (without second teams) play the promotion / relegation round in a double round (10 games). Rank 1–4 games in the following season in SPL1.
