SRRP Radio & TV (also: Schulradio Rheinland-Pfalz ) is the first regional broadcaster in Germany that is set up, financed and managed by students alone. SRRP Radio & TV is considered a free working group, since the broadcaster pursues neither commercial nor economic interests and consists of four permanent organizational members.

The station was created in the middle of 2006 under the name "SR Rheinland-Pfalz". The operator is Christian Fiala, initiator of the station.

The transmitter

Monika Campbell, Christa Jax, Christian Grabasch and Christian Fiala are responsible for managing the station. The transmitter rooms for the radio program are located in Mayen on Von-Behring-Straße. The television studio for the monthly television format is located in the rooms of the Andernach Open Canal. The technical range in the cable network is 75,000 viewers. Since broadcasting began, all broadcasts (audio and video) have been made available as downloads.

program

Radio SRRP produces a weekly radio program with a length of about 30 minutes, which consists of regional news, magazines and documentaries. Parts of this program are z. B.

  • SRRP News (News)
  • SRRP on Tour (event magazine).

The television format "SRRP-TV" is produced once a month and is around 60 minutes long. It contains contributions with great visual impact that can only be published in radio format in a weak manner. This includes content such as:

  • Carnival parades
  • Performances
  • Magazines from the fields of nature, sports, travel.

concept

The aim of the "SRRP Radio & TV" project is to introduce young people to media, especially radio and television, and to win their voluntary work in order to produce their own weekly radio program that they have developed, researched and produced themselves, without finished contributions to use. All programs on the radio program are produced using GEMA- free music.

Transmission area

In the following cities and municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate , the television format "SRRP-TV" is broadcast by Radio SRRP on the frequency of the open channels in the cable network :

Other Projects

Since the end of 2009 Christian Fiala (initiator SRRP) has decided to produce other radio programs in the SRRP studios. Under the name “Studio Mayen”, a regular “live broadcast” is to be produced for various portals, which, according to the owner, will continue to be heard on RauteMusik.FM in the future . This created an alternative to use the studio for other purposes. The “Studio Mayen” project emerged from the collaboration between Martin Mohaupt (moderator / homepage admin) and Christian Fiala (initiator / owner SRRP) and is currently being managed under his leadership.
