The SSC Aero is a supercar manufactured by the US small series manufacturer SSC North America . It was also available as the Ultimate Aero and Ultimate Aero TT . This most powerful version achieved a top speed of 412 km / h on a measuring section that was traveled twice in 2007.
The Ultimate Aero TT thus replaced the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 as the fastest road car to date. On June 26th 2010 a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport set a new record with 431 km / h and relegated the Ultimate Aero TT back to second place. (The sales version of the Bugatti is limited to 415 km / h.)
Technical specifications
The SSC Aero is equipped with a V8 engine with 6187 cm³ and an output of 583 kW (793 hp). The torque is 736 Nm . The Ultimate Aero has more displacement and a larger turbocharger and develops around 775 kW (1054 PS). The latest product from SSC, the Ultimate Aero TT , represents the top of the product range. With the same displacement as the Ultimate Aero (6345 cm³), it has even more power (870 kW / 1183 PS).

2006 - SSC Ultimate Aero

The Aero is a mid-engined car with rear-wheel drive . Behind the front 18-inch wheels with 245/45 tires and the rear 19-inch wheels with 345/30 tires, the 14-inch brake discs with six-piston brake calipers bring the car from 100 km / h to zero in 31.4 meters to stand.
