Elias Koteas (born March 11, 1961 in Montréal , Québec ) is a Canadian actor of Greek origin .

biography

Elias Koteas became known in his Canadian homeland through his collaboration with David Cronenberg (as Vaughan in Crash ), but above all through his collaboration with the director Atom Egoyan . Together they made the films The Estimator (1991), Exotica (1994) and Ararat (2002).

He played numerous supporting roles in Hollywood productions, e.g. For example, the company commander Staros in Der schmale Grat (1998), an antagonist in Demon - Trau kein Seele (1998) or the law enforcement officer Joe Rothman in The Killer Inside Me (2010).
