The SV Eintracht Wald-Michelbach is a German football club from Wald-Michelbach in the Odenwald .

Sporting successes

The sporting highlight of the club was promotion to the Oberliga Hessen in the 2001/02 season under player-coach Stefan Trautmann. Under coach Hans Hein as his successor, Eintracht Wald-Michelbach surprisingly finished fourth in the 2002/03 Oberliga season.

The following 2003/04 season was less successful after a strong start to the season. The season highlight was the home game against the relegated Regionalliga SV Darmstadt 98 , which Wald-Michelbach lost 3-1. The spectator record of 2900 spectators was also reached at this game. In the final table, ETW, which had since lost a number of top performers, was thirteenth. The third and so far last year of membership in the league was the 2004/05 season, in which coach Hans Hein was released early. But even his successor Karl-Heinz Walter could not prevent relegation in the end: In the end, Eintracht Wald-Michelbach occupied the penultimate place in the table with 30 points and thus rose again from the Oberliga Hessen.

Also in the Landesliga Hessen Süd could not establish the Eintracht Wald-Michelbach and was passed in 2005/06 with 25 points as the table penultimate in the district league Darmstadt. The coach Karl-Heinz Walter, who resigned in the late summer, was followed this season by another ex-professional coach, Markus Bähr (Karlsruher SC, 1. FC Köln).

In the 2007 District Cup, SV Eintracht Wald-Michelbach qualified as a finalist for the 2008 Hessen Cup. In the final, the club met SV Darmstadt 98 again . Although the game was lost 3-0, it was enough to qualify because two clubs from the Darmstadt district are allowed to take part in the Hessen Cup. In 2011 he again qualified for the Hessen Cup as a representative of the Association League.

The first team currently plays under coach Ralf Ripperger in the sixth-class Association League South. The second team is based in the eight-class district Oberliga Bergstraße. Local rivals of ETW are the neighbors SG Unter-Abtsteinach and SV Unter-Flockenbach.
