The Hessenpokal 2008 was the 63rd edition of the men's soccer cup competition. The final took place on May 11, 2010 in the stadium at Böllenfalltor in Darmstadt .
The cup winner receives the right to start the DFB Cup 2008/09 . No two teams from a club or a corporation are allowed to participate in the games for the DFB club cup.
The biggest surprise came from Bernbach in the round of 16, when the state division, who had also been relegated to the regional league, won on penalties against Hessen Kassel .
The SV Darmstadt 98 won the final against Viktoria Aschaffenburg with 2: 0 and won for the third time in a row the Hesse Cup and was allowed to compete for the first round of the DFB-Cup 2008/09.
Participating teams
15 of the 16 participants in the Hessen Cup qualified via the Hessian District Cup. Viktoria Aschaffenburg as runner-up in the Oberliga Hessen was the only club that qualified through the league.
