The SV Hilden-Nord is a sports club from Hilden with the departments football , martial arts and tennis .
history
The e. V. with a main focus on football brought u. a. the later Bundesliga and national player Michael Tarnat emerged. Today the club owns an artificial turf pitch, a grass pitch and approximately 1 km² of terrain. The club's greatest success in 1990 was qualifying for the main round of the DFB Cup . Here they beat the second division club SC Freiburg 2-1 after extra time in the 1st round , and in the 2nd round the Preußen Münster team lost 4-0.
The first team played in the seventh-class Lower Rhine regional league until the 2010/11 season and achieved promotion to the Lower Rhine league through the championship . There you had to accept, however, as penultimate table, the immediate relegation to the national league. From 2013 to 2016, the team was passed through three relegations in a row from the state league to the district league B.
SV Hilden-Nord is also known for its big Whitsun festival, which has meanwhile established itself as a game and sports festival beyond the borders of Hilde. The festival has taken place eleven times so far (as of May 2010).
