The sports club Oberteuringen eV , or SV Oberteuringen for short, is a sports club from Oberteuringen with around 800 members. It is subdivided into the departments of football, tennis, athletics and table tennis. SV Oberteuringen uses a stadium with six running tracks, each with a long jump, high jump and pole vault as well as shot put, hammer throw and discus facilities, two further soccer fields, four tennis courts, a gym and a sports home.

history

The entire club and the football department were founded on May 8, 1948 and entered in the register of associations at the Überlingen district court on December 4, 1967 . The tennis department was founded on February 29, 1972, the athletics department on September 5, 1975 and the table tennis department on April 6, 1981.

Soccer

The first team plays in the 2015/16 season in the district league A Bodensee season 2, the second team in the district league B season 5. There is also a youth division.

SV Oberteuringen plays in the Rotach Stadium, which holds around 350 spectators. The former German national team played at the opening of the stadium, including Günter Netzer and Wolfgang Overath .

The club achieved national success with its women's football department under coach Frieder Rühl, who as the Württemberg Cup winner was able to qualify for the DFB Cup several times .
