The SV Vorwärts Falkenberg (full name Sportverein Vorwärts Falkenberg ) was a football club from the town of Falkenberg / Elster in the Elbe-Elster district in Brandenburg , whose most successful period was in the 1920s.

history

SV Vorwärts Falkenberg was founded on January 26, 1919 in Falkenberg / Elster, a municipality that was then part of the Liebenwerda district in the Prussian province of Saxony . The club joined the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs and belonged to the Gau Elbe / Elster . In the seasons 1923/24 and 1924/25 he was each runner-up in the Gau Elbe / Elster.

In the 1926/27 season , SV Vorwärts Falkenberg became champions in Gau Elbe / Elster and then took part in the Central German championship round. In their first round, the club was eliminated 3: 7 against VfL 1911 Bitterfeld . After three more seasons in the Gauliga Elbe / Elster and one year in the Gauliga Mulde , Vorwärts Falkenberg descended in 1931 in lower-class football, but in 1932 managed to immediately return to the Gauliga Mulde. After the reorganization of the league structure in 1933, the club no longer played upper class. In 1945 the association was dissolved by the Soviet occupying forces .
