SWKI guideline

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Swiss Association of Building Technology Engineers (SWKI) is active as a building technology specialist association in the SIA technology occupational group and, in accordance with the standards and regulations of the SIA (Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects), develops guidelines for the types of work: ventilation and air conditioning technology , refrigeration technology , Building technology , heating technology , electrical and communication technology (only related to heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems), building automation and sanitary technology . SWKI guidelines are basically compatible with the regulations of SIA, SNV , CEN and ISO , but can also contain stricter requirements.

The SWKI did not develop all of the SWKI guidelines itself; individual guidelines were drawn up in cooperation with the VDI . In these cases, the SWKI is represented in the respective VDI project group on the guideline.

Legal meaning of SWKI guidelines

A SWKI guideline is a pioneering working document for both science and practice. With its assessment and evaluation criteria, it provides well-founded decision-making aids and forms “a benchmark for flawless technical procedures” for the planning, construction and operation of technical building systems. The guidelines give experts the security of being guided by a recognized rule of technology and of acting accordingly. In principle, SWKI guidelines have the character of recommendations. Everyone is free to use them, that is, they can be used, but may also ensure compliance with the state of the art in other ways.

Enjoy the SWKI guidelines and a. A high level of acceptance due to the broad support in the building technology industry. In many cases, especially in the case of larger construction projects, the contracting parties make SWKI guidelines part of a contract for work and services. However, they can also serve as a decision-making aid in the event of a dispute without a contractual agreement if the law of sales and work contracts involves material defects. The assumption here is that the SWKI guidelines describe the recognized state of the art.
