Saša Gajičić

Saša Gajičić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Саша Гајичић ; born December 29, 1977 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a former Yugoslav cyclist .

Career

After Gajičić won the overall ranking of the Tour of Serbia in 1997, the Yugoslav championship titles in road races and individual time trials in 1998 and a stage of the Tour of Egypt in 1999 and finished eighth in the U23 road race at the 1998 World Championships , he joined the Italian cycling team Alessio in 200 on.

In 2000 he was again Yugoslav road racing champion. The following year he won two stages of the Giro d'Abruzzo , which he was able to finish third in the overall standings, and one stage of the Tour of Serbia. In 2002, when he spent his last international season with the Italian team Mobilvetta Design-Formaggi Trentini , he won two stages of the Tour of Egypt and came second in the Yugoslav championships in road racing. He took part in the Giro d'Italia 2002 , but had to give up the tour after the eleventh stage.
