Saša Planinšec (born June 2, 1995 ) is a Slovenian volleyball player .

Career

Planinšec started her career in 2012 at Nova KBM Branik Maribor . With the club she won several championships and cups. In 2013 and 2015, Maribor was also successful with the middle blocker in the MEVZA Cup (Central European Volleyball League). The club also played in the CEV Cup for five years . In 2017, the championship and cup double followed. Planinšec took part in the 2015 European Championship with the Slovenian national team. For the 2017/18 season she moved to the German Bundesliga club Dresdner SC . In their first season, Planinšec won the Cup with the Dresden club and made it to the playoff semi-finals . In her second season with Dresden, she was eliminated from the fight for the German championship in the playoff round of 16 . Dresdner SC decided after the end of the season not to submit a new contract offer to Planinšec.
