Reconstruction of a capanna circolare

The nuragic settlement ( Italian Villaggio nuragico ) Sa Mandra 'e Sa Giua (also Sa Mandra' e Sa Jua - German  "The fence of the cow" ) with some preserved round huts ( Italian Capanna Circolare ) is located on the northeastern outskirts of Ossi in the Sassari Province in Sardinia . Its location within the city has led to the creation of the city archaeological park.

Of particular interest is the structure of the “Casa del pane” (House of bread), which is located directly next to the modern buildings. It is the remainder of a paved round hut made of perfectly worked tuff , which is designed as a drainage channel, bench altar , oven and water trough and served cultic purposes. Smelting activities for copper are also documented in the village.

Nearby are the Sa Mandra 'e Sa Giua nuraghe and the Domus de Janas of Mesu' e Montes .
