Saar Steele (born September 28, 1984 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa ) is a former Israeli tennis player .

Career

Until 2007 Steele only played a few tournaments. That season became the first in which he played more regularly and in which he also won his first of three future titles in doubles. In 2008 he was in a Challenger main draw in Israel for the first time thanks to a wildcard . There he played almost all of the remaining tournaments in singles, most recently in 2017. In doubles, he won titles two and three in futures in 2009 and 2013. He was also in the semifinals of the Challenger in Ramat Hasharon with his compatriot Dudi Sela . Steele had the only appearance on the ATP Tour 2011 in St. Petersburg again with Sela, where they were eliminated in the opening game. In the world rankings he was the highest in individual 2012 with 1005; In doubles, he climbed to a career high of 580 in early 2010. He was last listed in 2016, and occasionally he still plays futures in his home country.
