from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Saarland Bank AG was a 1947 founded Saarland bank based in Saarbrücken , in the 2003 German Bank AG rose.

Founded in 1947

The establishment of the Saarländische Kreditbank goes back to the regional split of the Deutsche Bank after the Second World War and the special political role of the Saarland with its changing affiliation to the French and German economic area. In 1947, Deutsche Bank AG, Saarbrücken branch, and its branches came under French administration.

Saarländische Kreditbank AG took over their business. This was founded on October 22, 1947 as a German stock corporation trading as Crédit Sarrois SA by a group of French banks and industrial companies under the leadership of Crédit Industriel d'Alsace et de Lorraine (CIAL). The main office was at Kaiserstrasse 29-31 in Saarbrücken.

Participation of Deutsche Bank AG

In 1955, Deutsche Bank AG - at that time still divided into three successor banks - took a stake in the capital of Saarländische Kreditbank, initially with a third, the following year with around two thirds. Representatives of Deutsche Bank moved into the supervisory board, and the addition "Deutsche Bank Group" soon appeared in the branches.

At the end of 1969 the bank had total assets of 448.6 million DM.

In 1978 the Saarländische Kreditbank became Deutsche Bank Saar AG; In terms of name, too, it should be more closely associated with the parent company. In 1991 Deutsche Bank owned 69.24% of the shares.

Merger with Deutsche Bank AG

In 2003, Deutsche Bank Saar AG was merged with Deutsche Bank AG.
