The Saarland-Kolleg is an institution of the second educational path in day form in Saarbrücken , which was founded in 1958 .

It leads adults with professional experience to the general university entrance qualification . The course at Saarland-Kolleg comprises 3 grades: the one-year introductory phase and the two-year main phase of the upper secondary school .

The general higher education entrance qualification certificate obtained at the Saarland-Kolleg entitles you to study all subjects in the federal states of the Federal Republic of Germany.

History and organization

The Saarland College was founded in 1958. Together with the upper level grammar school of the Wirtschaftswwissenschaftliches Gymnasium (WWG) it forms a school network. Both institutions have a common school management and a common teaching staff, they work closely together (especially in the main phase).

Installation by Werner Bauer

The architect of the school building is Bernhard Focht, who, together with Werner Bauer and Paul Schneider, received the Sparda Bank Prize in 2000/2001 for designing the School of Economics and the Saarland College.
