The Economics Gymnasium (WWG) is a general high school in Saarbrücken .
Economics is a mandatory (five-hour) extension course. The WWG also offers a wide range of subjects for the upper secondary school .
The certificate of general university entrance qualification acquired in WWG entitles to study all subjects in the federal states of the Federal Republic of Germany.
History and organization
The economics high school was founded in 1952 and forms a school network together with the Saarland-Kolleg . Both institutions have a common school management and a common teaching staff, they work closely together (especially in the main phase ). The WWG comprises three grades: the one-year introductory phase and the two-year main phase.
building
The architect of the school building is Bernhard Focht, who, together with Werner Bauer and Paul Schneider, received the Sparda Bank Prize in 2000/2001 for designing the School of Economics and the Saarland College .
