Sabaragamuwa ( Sinhala : සබරගමුව පළාත) is a province of Sri Lanka . It consists of the two administrative districts Kegalle and Ratnapura . The main cities are Ratnapura and Kegalle .

Sabaragamuwa University is located in Belihuloya . It was named after the former indigenous people called Sabara, an Indian expression for hunter-gatherers. The province's tourist attractions are the Bambarakanda Waterfalls , Sri Lanka's tallest waterfalls and the 2243-meter-high Sri Pada .
