Sabik (from Arabic سابق, DMG sabīq  'preceding') is the name of the star Eta Ophiuchi (η Ophiuchi) in the constellation of the Serpent Bearer . Sabik has an apparent brightness of +2.43 mag and belongs to the spectral class A2. The distance from Sabik is less than 90 light years ( Hipparcos database).
