Sabine Anemüller

Sabine Anemüller (born September 19, 1963 in Oberhausen ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and mayor of the city of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After attending school in her hometown, Anemüller completed a commercial apprenticeship. She then studied economics and business administration at the University of Duisburg-Essen . She completed her studies with a degree in economics . She then worked in the private sector for a few years. This was followed by 20 years of work at the Duisburg city ​​administration in the areas of finance, education and youth.

She also lived in Duisburg with her two daughters and her husband, who died early. She moved to Viersen with her new life partner.

Sabine Anemüller moved into the city council of Viersen in 2014. In the 2015 local elections , she won 62.06% of the votes in a runoff election on September 27, 2015 against her competitor Paul Schrömbges (CDU), succeeding Günter Thönnessen (also SPD).
