Sabine Reuker

Sabine Reuker (* 1968 ) is a German sports scientist and university lecturer.

Life

Reuker studied sport and biology for teaching at the Free University of Berlin , in 1998 she passed the first and in 2000 the second state examination. She worked in the school service before working as a research assistant in the fields of sports education and sports didactics at the Universities of Göttingen and Gießen from 2003 to 2012 . In the meantime, namely in 2007 and 2008, she worked again as a teacher in Hessen . At the Georg-August University she obtained her doctorate, the topic of her thesis was “Opportunities for school sports and exercise. Do adventure school trips change the social willingness to act? "

From April to September 2012 she held a position as substitute professor for sports education at the University of Paderborn , in October 2012 she took up a W2 professorship for sports didactics at the Technical University of Munich . From 2014 to 2018 she was W3 professor for sports education at the University of Paderborn. In April 2018, Reuker took over a W3 professorship in sports education at the Ludwigsburg University of Education . In June 2016 she was elected to the spokesman's council of the sports education section at the German Association for Sports Science .

Reuker's main research areas include sports education and didactics, experiential education and social psychology, empirical educational research, the sport of volleyball and the professionalization of teachers.
