Sabine Thalbach

Sabine Thalbach (born August 4, 1932 in Berlin , † September 30, 1966 in East Berlin ; real name Sabine Joachim Thalbach ) was a German actress .

Life

Thalbach began her acting career in 1949 with a debut with Bertolt Brecht's Berliner Ensemble (BE) in his mother's production of Courage as the silent Kattrin. At the BE she got to know Benno Besson . Their daughter Katharina Thalbach followed in the footsteps of the actress, who died early. She has also had success in numerous DEFA films since 1951. Sabine Thalbach died of thrombosis in 1966 at the age of 34 .
