Sabine Worthmann
Sabine Worthmann (* 1959 in Hemsbünde ) is a German double bass player , sound artist and radio play - composer .
life and work
Worthmann initially toured as a bassist with the castrated philosophers and came together in cross-genre projects with Bernd Begemann , Martha Cinader, Anthony Coleman and Howard Johnson , among others . She has been composing and producing theater music for 20 years, for example for Volker Hesse , Katharina Thalbach or Nicolai Sykosch and productions at the Maxim Gorki Theater , the Theater Bremen , the State Theater Karlsruhe and the Ruhrtriennale . She also composed the music for numerous radio plays and audio books, but also short films. In 2011, her radio play The Rätsel der Qualia: An experimental arrangement in 5.1 surround, produced in surround sound 5.1 , was nominated for the ARD Radio Play Days and won the ARD Online Award . She also created sound art installations.
