Sekmet-wasit (also Sechmet-wasit, Sekmet-wasyt, Sechmet-wasyt ) is documented as an ancient Egyptian underworld goddess only during the New Kingdom in the Amduat . Iconographically she is represented as a standing goddess with a lion head . She holds a sign in her right hand ; in the left hand a what-scepter .

In the area of Wernes , Sekhmet-wasit belongs in the upper register as the fourth goddess to a group of nine gods of the second night hour .
